Nico Luce will be back for a 60h Pilates teacher training at Nueva luna yoga Pilates is a transformational mind-body movement practice that combines concentration, awareness and efficiency with strength, range of motion and endurance.
Pilates is a transformational mind-body movement practice that combines concentration, awareness and efficiency with strength, range of motion and endurance.
By practicing Pilates, the correct activation of the mid-section is cultivated, the range of movement of the spine and major joints are increased, posture is refined, the mechanics of movement are improved and muscle recruitment patterns are reeducated.
This 60hr Pilates Teacher Training program is a detailed, movement-based core module that focuses on deepening students’ knowledge and skills of a functional movement practice focused on developing the deep stabilising system of the torso.
This program can work either as a stand-alone training or as a complementary modality for either a working yoga teacher or fitness professional.
With a scope both deep and refined, this training program fosters the growth of both the student and teacher in you through ample exploration, integrated learning and practice teaching.
In this program, you will learn how to artfully create a sequence of balanced core work and practice teaching the movements of each exercise. Our mission is to prepare you to develop safe and sensible core classes for all levels of studentship. You will learn to accurately observe students’ bodies, assist them in muscle recruitment through verbal cues, basic hands-on assist, modifications of exercises and the use of props.
We believe a deeper understanding of Pilates and how to teach it comes from a consistent commitment to your personal practice, and in return your practice will become a well-spring of resources and inspiration for you as a teacher. As such, proper execution of exercises, biomechanics and sequencing are at the core of this program. With exercise labs and practice teaching sessions every day, you will deepen your knowledge of the biomechanics of Pilates and develop precise communication skills to transmit this knowledge to your own students.

Nico is a 500 hour certified yogi and international trainer who has been teaching yoga since 2003, and is himself committed to never ending the journey of learning
His love for Eastern philosophy, spirituality and anatomy are all weaved skilfully into his teaching; his style is eclectic, drawing on his study with some of the top teachers in Hatha, Anusara, Vinyasa, Yin and Power Yoga and Pilates. Yet grounded in reality, yoga, in his view is not separate from life but rather constitutive of it, and draws from everyday experiences to realize the practice’s potential.
An avid story teller, philosopher, traveller and mover, Nico has spent much of his life in pursuit of the extra ordinary; from intrepid travels through India, acting stints and a successful yoga studio ownership, he has spent much of his life seeking a way to embrace this life with each breath, one breath at a time. Living life to its fullest potential is to live with vibrancy, adventure and zest.
By bringing to life the ancient teachings of yoga, Nico’s goal is to take you on a powerful transformational journey which will have you seeking the answers to your questions and challenging the way you view your life, inviting you to look inside, to never stop asking the questions and to be brave, to remain open, and to take a chance on yourself.
You can find Nico studying at his home in Switzerland, teaching & gardening at Occitania Retreats in the South of France, or travelling to the corners of the globe sharing his teachings in a humble and honest way.
