Why choosing this 200h yoga teacher training ?
This training is guided by Nico Luce, who has been teaching yoga since 2003 and leading teacher trainings since 2015, with over 300 teachers trained through his 200h programs.
Nico is known for his unique ability to bring yoga philosophy and history to life. A natural storyteller, he makes the depth and complexity of yoga accessible, relevant, and embodied.
Co-led with Sofia, co-founder of Nueva Luna Yoga, this training blends Nico’s precise, anatomy-based approach with Sofia’s creative, fluid, and experiential way of teaching. Together, they offer a complementary and dynamic learning environment rooted in both structure and intuition.
This is more than a training — it’s a 3-week immersive experience in the Algarve, surrounded by raw nature, ocean energy, and space to fully disconnect from daily life and reconnect to what truly matters. The immersive format allows you to dive deeply into the practice, integrate the teachings, and embody the transformation.
The program is comprehensive and practical, giving you the tools, confidence, and clarity to start teaching as soon as you complete the training.
With a small group of maximum 14 participants, the training ensures a close and supportive environment, allowing for individual guidance, meaningful exchanges, and real connection.
- The training is held in English, with the possibility to communicate in French and Spanish, which is a real advantage (for private clients, corporate settings, and studios) and internationally.
Nico is a 500 hour certified yogi and international trainer who has been teaching yoga since 2003, and is himself committed to never ending the journey of learning
His love for Eastern philosophy, spirituality and anatomy are all weaved skilfully into his teaching; his style is eclectic, drawing on his study with some of the top teachers in Hatha, Anusara, Vinyasa, Yin and Power Yoga and Pilates. Yet grounded in reality, yoga, in his view is not separate from life but rather constitutive of it, and draws from everyday experiences to realize the practice’s potential.
An avid story teller, philosopher, traveller and mover, Nico has spent much of his life in pursuit of the extra ordinary; from intrepid travels through India, acting stints and a successful yoga studio ownership, he has spent much of his life seeking a way to embrace this life with each breath, one breath at a time. Living life to its fullest potential is to live with vibrancy, adventure and zest.
By bringing to life the ancient teachings of yoga, Nico’s goal is to take you on a powerful transformational journey which will have you seeking the answers to your questions and challenging the way you view your life, inviting you to look inside, to never stop asking the questions and to be brave, to remain open, and to take a chance on yourself.
You can find Nico studying at his home in Switzerland, teaching & gardening at Occitania Retreats in the South of France, or travelling to the corners of the globe sharing his teachings in a humble and honest way.

About Sofia
After an active and sporty childhood, Sofia stepped away from movement for several years, embracing a more epicurean lifestyle before building a twelve-year career in finance. The birth of her son and a separation became a turning point, leading her back to her body and to herself. Yoga entered her life nine years ago, and she quickly understood that this practice went far beyond the physical.
After completing her 200-hour teacher training in 2020, she began teaching and has since continued to deepen her path, accumulating over 600 hours of training and more than 1500 hours of teaching experience.
Shortly after her initial certification, Sofia started her 300-hour training with Nico Luce, marking not only a new phase in her education but also the beginning of a meaningful friendship. Sharing Argentine roots, they connected through a common culture, language, and vision of yoga. This bond naturally expanded beyond training into collaborative projects, retreats, and teachings, driven by a shared desire to create, explore, and transmit together.
Co-founder of Nueva Luna Yoga in Lausanne, Sofia mainly teaches Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, and Yin Yang, and regularly leads inversion workshops and retreats.
Her approach to both practice and teaching is playful, creative, and exploratory. She enjoys navigating between strength and softness, encouraging students to experiment, fall, try again, and discover new possibilities.
At the heart of her philosophy lies a simple yet powerful intention: go with the flow. For Sofia, yoga is not about control or perfection, but about learning to move with life as it is — embracing change, trusting the process, and finding freedom within the experience. She invites her students to step on the mat as a space of exploration, where growth happens not by forcing, but by allowing.
Her classes are an invitation to reconnect, to feel, and to leave with a sense of lightness, joy, and renewed energy.
